Bio:

Aryk d’Andalore was not always known as such, for much of his life he didn’t have a surname, only recently did he decide to make one up during one of his many many nights of being in a drunken stupor. Aryk never knew his parents, but he believes that they were nobles of some sort, a ring left with him at birth the only real link he has to who his parents were. But, with no real symbol on the ring, it is hardly proof of his nobility.

In his youth he though learning how to behave like a Noble, and learn to fight like one, he could prove that he was of Noble blood. He went to the Dueling Schools in Restov, challenging, and winning, actual nobles in duels, but all that did was cause him greif from said nobles. After failing to earn respect through physical prowess, Aryk decided to try and prove it through mental prowess, learning much about many different topics, several different languages, even spellcraft, although he never learned to actually cast anything. But, in the end, that did even less to prove his nobility then learning to duel.

He tried many other things to prove his nobility over the earlier years of his life, but nothing helped prove his nobility. After years of trying, Aryk gave up on his quest to prove his nobility quickly disgraced himself in the eyes of his teachers: He became a drunk. He spend many nights in local bars spending what little money he had on alchohol. Soon his money ran dry and he began wondering, doing random little jobs in villages to get money to support his addiction.

Eventually he settled down a little and decided to open a brewery, his love a alcohol while traveling turning into a passion to make the stuff. He had opened a small place called ’Duelist’s Brew’ in Brevoy, near Restov. He was reletively good at it, making a good quality ale that people enjoyed. But sadly, his drinking problem had not passed, and he soon ran the business into the ground through a combination of excessive spending and achohol induced bad decision making.

After the his brewery closed, Aryk fell back into his old lifestyle of wondering, doing random jobs for money, and drinking. After one particularly bad night, he got into a fight in the bar, earning him a scar on his eye and a death on his shoulders. He had killed a man in his drunken haze, not even remembering what had happened to escalate to that point or even the kill itself. Though, as it turns out, the man was a wanted criminal with a mighty fine bounty on his head. Though the man was a criminal, Aryk had never taken a life, and it had shaken him that he had done so without really knowing what he was doing. What would happen if he got that drunk again? What if the next person wasn’t as guilty as this man? He couldn’t handle that. Not only that, but he had removed this man who was a danger to everyone using his skills; he could save people. Deciding that his life as a drunk was done with; he swore that never again would a drop of alchohol touch his lips. Using the money that he earned from the bounty filled a flask with high-quality whiskey, never to be drunken, as a reminder of his decision. With the rest of the bounty money, he got his rapier and heis mithril shirt enchanted and took off for the place he felt she could make the biggest difference: The Stolen Lands.
